What's Ahead in 2012

High level goals and priorities for the Sustainable Company Pillar over 2012 include:

• Continuing to measure progress against both short-term and long-term targets, and reporting on improvements against the baseline established in 2011.
• Rolling out working standards based on the EICC Code of Conduct globally and looking for ways to ensure compliance with the EICC Code of Conduct throughout Brady's supply chain.
• Evaluating options to improve the ease and efficiency of sustainability data collection, reduce transcription errors, and enhance analysis capabilities to facilitate operational compliance and continuous improvement.
• Expanding the Green Team model to other regional Brady facilities.

Brady Focus Area	Performance Improvement Targets
Eliminate Waste	Long-term goal to achieve zero waste to landfill at both manufacturing and office locations. Reduce total waste by 5%, normalized by sales, by 2017.
Conserve Energy & Reduce GHG Emissions	Decrease emissions of CO2e by 2%, normalized by sales, by 2017.
Preserve Natural Resources	Understand and characterize our global water footprint for consideration in ongoing target review and goal setting in our Company Council in 2012.
Continuously Improve Safety	Long-term safety goal is zero injuries and zero fatalities. Progress will be achieved through regular monitoring of the incident frequency rate year-over-year. Achievement of site specific program performance goals through our internal management system. Achievement of site specific improvement targets using leading and lagging metrics.
